ABOUT US

The International Federation of Sustainable Motorsport (IFSM) was established in 2025 to meet the growing global demand for structured governance of electric and sustainable racing disciplines. IFSM’s role is to regulate, develop, and sanction electric motorsport worldwide. This includes the creation of technical and sporting regulations, licensing frameworks, safety standards, and championship structures across multiple racing categories.

The federation operates through a transparent international governance model, with representation from member nations through appointed country delegates. IFSM oversees world and regional championships, appoints officials, and ensures consistent application of regulations from grassroots karting to professional-level racing. Safety, fairness, technical integrity, and environmental responsibility form the foundation of IFSM’s regulatory philosophy. The federation continuously updates its rules and procedures to reflect evolving technology, energy systems, and operational best practices.
